The Friends of Scouting fundraising breakfast is just a couple days from now. Due to current limitations on gatherings this year the council is handling it as a virtual event. You can purchase a ticket for the event and then attend at 7:30 AM on Thursday, August 13th for a virtual Morning Reveille with special guest speaker General Mattis! And yes, he was in Boy Scouts here in Richland where he grew up!
This event is an opportunity for the Blue Mountain Council to honor leaders in our community whose efforts have impacted our area youth. We have two honorees for the North Star Award this year.
With that being said, this is also the council’s largest fundraising event and we would like to get as many donors connected to the event as possible. It takes roughly $150 to cover costs for 1 youth served in Blue Mountain Council, so this event also raises funds for our local council to help Scouting make a difference in our communities!
