MESA Day is our regional competition where local middle and high school MESA students compete in the MESA USA National Engineering Design Challenge, Arduino Based Solutions for Humans. They will be showcasing their prototype solution designed to solve a human need, while incorporating Arduino programming. Students will be competing in four core areas: 1) Pitch (think Shark Tank style); 2) Technical Interview; 3) Poster; and 4) Technical Paper. Both middle and high school winning teams have the potential to progress to nationals. Last year, our winning high school team represented WA MESA and placed 4th at Nationals.
Volunteer judges are needed for Poster, Technical Interview, Pitch as well as 1-2 volunteers familiar with Arduino or coding to aid with troubleshooting and prototype repair; Judges also needed for Technical Paper to be held on earlier date, Apr 12 (1 – 4 pm) on PNNL Campus.
Training and lunch will be provided.
