We are looking for volunteers to offer feedback for student projects virtually on January 20. The time is 9:30 to 10:30 AM PST. Students are answering the question, How can we use our robust understanding of civilization and human needs to engineer a society that ensures human survival? Their task is to create a new civilization that showcases how humans have survived with a multidisciplinary approach.
When: Wednesday, January 20, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. *This is a virtual event*
Where: On ‘Teams’ with students of Washington Middle School in Seattle.
Who: Sixth graders looking for feedback on their group projects.
What: Small groups of students will be presenting the results of their multidisciplinary project, answering the question, “How can we use our robust understandings of civilization and human needs to engineer a society that ensures human survival?” Each group will present for 5 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of input from you and 2-3 other volunteers. You don’t need to know about human survival! But help the students address questions such as whether they can back up their assertions and plans by evidence. You will also introduce yourself, what you do, and emphasize one quality about you that helps you do your job. The session is intended to give youth feedback from the community.
Would you be able to assist on this day? You do not need to have completed a background check with Seattle Public Schools to participate.
