Volunteer: POPP Adoption Coordinator (Dog)
Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service and assist adopters/potential adopters with their needs. Respond to general inquiries about assistance with pets and respond to general phone/email inquiries coming into the organization; answer questions about POPP dogs, policies and general information. Assist in finalizing adoptions by uploading adoption agreements into database. Provide adopters with electronic copies of all medical records. Register microchips and provide this information with additional post adoption support resources. Update data fields in database.
Requirements: Superior customer service and responsiveness. Needs to have access to email throughout the day. Volunteers should have a solid working knowledge of SVPP; its history, mission and procedures as well as solid knowledge of the current inventory.
Time Commitment: Ongoing commitment; flexible

Volunteer: POPP Animal Transport
Responsibilities: Transport volunteers use their personal vehicles to transport animals and/or supplies (i.e. rescue pick up, chauffeuring animals to/from medical or therapy visits, picking-up donations or helping with special event transport). Errands/pick up donations/drop off supplies.
Requirements: Must have a reliable vehicle that is licensed and insured; the vehicle must have enough space for kenneled animals. Requires a valid driver’s license.
Time Commitment: Flexibility of schedule; 2-4 hrs./week.

Volunteer: POPP Foster Parent
Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily care of a foster animal, including feeding, exercising, playtime, socialization, grooming, reinforcing basic obedience commands and, of course, providing patience, love and security. POPP will provide all necessary medical care and our Foster Teams will provide full support throughout the foster period. Must be willing to work with the pet to help them get ready for adoption. This may include housebreaking, basic training, socialization, etc. You may also need to transport the foster animal to scheduled medical appointments and/or adoption events and photo shoots as well as administer any required medications. Providing foster care will certainly be a rewarding experience as you are enabling the animal to go on to the greatest adventure – a place where he/she will be cherished and loved until a great forever home is found.
Requirements: To be a successful foster parent, you will need a compassionate nature, flexibility, willingness to follow instructions and interest and/or knowledge of animal behavior. Frequent email updates are required, and responsiveness to our team is critical to the success of our foster program. Reliable computer, internet service and transportation. Requirements: Good writing skills including attention to grammar and sentence structure. Ability to write in a creative, positive style. Reliable computer and internet service. May coordinate photo shoots, video shoots. Will provide guidance to foster parents on how to better market their foster pets. Oversees bio writers, photographers, and the online posting team; ensures all adoptable animals have bios and photos online. Come up with fresh, innovative marketing campaigns for adoptable animals.
Requirements: Must be creative and tech savvy.
