Who We Are
Feiro Marine Life Center contributes to a strong community by providing local marine and watershed learning experiences, inspiring us all to act on behalf of our environment.
What We Do
Get up close and personal with the marine life of the North Olympic Peninsula. Our sea water comes directly from the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Touch sea stars, hermit crabs, sea cucumbers and more in our touch tanks. Learn about plankton at the microscope station. See a variety of fish and other animals you will find in our region. Our volunteer naturalists are the key to your visit. They enjoy talking with guests and learners from all over the world about our animals, the best times and places to tidepool, and current events and issues facing our coast.
Join our youth programs, such as summer camps and after school clubs. We welcome students for field trips and in-depth studies. Adults can participate in citizen science activities, including monitoring marine mammal strandings, as well as enjoy an annual speaker series and workshops.
Be on the lookout for special events and programs, hosted with partners such as the NOAA Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary, Olympic National Park, the North Olympic Library System, North Olympic Land Trust, and more. We are a donor-supported non-profit. Your annual membership and recurring donation helps provide high-quality education programs and animal care, design and install new exhibits and monitor our marine environment.
